Net proceeds from the series events benefit Building Remarkable Communities, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation whose mission is to eradicate domestic and family violence through prevention, training, and change of mindset in our community. Funds raised from the Remarkable River Racing Series will remain in Volusia County to provide resources and desperately needed funding to support survivors of abuse and their children.
“The race series continues to grow with each passing year. We are very excited by the momentum,” says Angie Flynn, President of Building Remarkable Communities, Inc.. “In addition to the party atmosphere of each race, we will have tech race shirts and custom diecast medals for every race finisher. Runners who complete all 3 series races will also receive a series medal. Race morning festivities include the run itself, followed by a catered breakfast buffet (provided by Aunt Catfish’s on the River), and a high-energy after party with music, raffles, awards, vendors, and more. These races are terrific community events that benefit a very worthy cause.”
Each race course will be different, but they will all start and end at Aunt Catfish’s on the River in Port Orange, Florida.
